Description
The scalloped edge — a shallow wave ground around the circumference — bites into soft or stretchy material without the tearing a plain edge can cause, making it the usual choice for food, foam and elastic nonwoven webs.
Wave pitch and depth are set to your material rather than taken from a standard, so the blade is grooved specifically for what it will cut. Offered in HSS, D2 or stainless, with a coating where sticking or corrosion is a concern.
Manufacturing
The wave profile is ground after heat treatment so its geometry holds through the blade's working life, then the bore, diameter and thickness are finished to your drawing and inspected before dispatch.

Yes. Send us a sample or the pitch and depth measurements and we will reproduce the profile, or refine it if it is not cutting cleanly.
Is the scalloped edge available on both sides for a double-bevel blade?
Yes, a double bevel scalloped edge is available where a symmetrical cut is required.
