Description

The curve, convex or concave, is matched to the application and improves cutting efficiency, impact velocity and material engagement, particularly on abrasive or hard materials. Concave hook blades also cut carpet, roofing felt, linoleum and rubber.

Radius, thickness, length, slot or hole features and curvature direction are all made to order. Materials run from D2 and SKD11 tool steel and HSS to tungsten carbide and hybrid composites with wear-resistant overlays, with TiN, TiCN or DLC coatings, polished, micro-ground or mirror finishes, and localised diffusion nitriding.

Manufacturing

Dimensions, geometry and mounting are made to your drawing or sample, heat treatment and finishing are matched to the material you process, and every part is inspected before dispatch.

Frequently asked questions

Can you match a blade from a worn sample without a drawing?

Yes. Send the sample and we will measure it, confirm the geometry with you, and quote from there.

Which material and coating should I choose?

It depends on what you cut and how fast. Tell us the material, line speed and current blade life and we will recommend a grade and coating with the quote.
