Description

A sloped cutting edge engages the material from one side to the other rather than along its full length at once, cutting the peak force needed and reducing shock — gentler on soft or elastic material and easier on the press.

Length, width, thickness and slope angle are made to your machine, from small hand-fed guillotines to servo-driven press lines. Tool steel, high-speed steel and solid carbide options cover general use through to abrasive material.

Manufacturing

The blade is ground flat, then the slope is finish-ground to your angle before hardening and a final precision grind, holding straightness along the full cutting edge.

Frequently asked questions

Can you supply a blade for a hand-fed guillotine as well as a servo press line?

Yes, we make guillotine blades from small hand-fed machines up to high-speed servo-driven lines — the geometry and material are chosen for the duty, not just the size.

What slope angle should we specify?

It depends on material thickness and how much shock the material can tolerate; send us your machine and material details and we will recommend an angle.
